How much $ is subsidized health ins worth?

Any recent mgmt retirees that can weigh in ?

Need to decide if I should buy these since I’m not able to make retirement but am eligible for MTP.

Is the subsidy the same as today? How much would ins cost without instead of with?

As mentioned on another post...Now, the easiest way to confirm if you are eligible for medical subsidy or not is to check your YTR statement. It is included there. You can also call Fidelity and speak to someone that can confirm for you.

I assume you know that just because you can make M75 with MTP that does not mean you are entitled to health insurance. A lot has been said on this board about folks thinking they are eligible for health benefits only to find they are not. Everybody’s eligibility is different and is determined by the company you entered with and when. All of this is documented in the SPD has about 280+ pages.

A family plan is $350 to $400 per month for AT&T employee, or $1800 to $1900 per month on COBRA/full price.
For an individual, it is about $100 per month for AT&T employee, or $1000 per month on COBRA/full price.

I don’t know for sure, but I know even with the subsidy it is expensive, and you def pay more as retired than employee. You can go to HR One Stop and find a way to model those costs. If you’re in your early 50’s and still going to be working for a while, no doubt another employers medical coverage would be cheaper.

It is expensive! However, it’s worth it if you have major health issues!! It also depends on the coverage you want.
