expect company to have 5% employee headcount cuts in next few weeks. 5% of 240K = about 12K jobs cut. you're a rounding error overall. npw's going to get hit really hard, and their hit count not in the 5% cuts. npw's are low hanging fruit for cuts- no legal risk or payouts needed. they're like an army infantry fighter during a battle- average life expectancy of 18 minutes.

Hopefully there is a law regulating the company lay-off, like increases taxes or can not get government contract. Since they push people to the street and in someway, government need take care of the people. Especially in most of case they mainly for boosting stock price and get a big bonus.

Send that excellent overview to Tucker Carlson at Fox News. He's already covered some of the discussed aspects and might just find the overview details interesting...that is unless Att hasn't already taken their typical hush money route.

Maybe when juxtaposed against Randall's "create jobs" lies when he was pushing through tens of billions of dollars in tax cuts.

Maybe when coupled with showing that AT&T is borrowing billions of dollars to pay a dividend on profits that don't exist, because executive compensation is based on share price, NOT fiscal solvency, NOT employment, and certainly NOT customer satisfaction.

Then lay that next to the utter failures of the C suite with effing the company over with T-Mobile, destroying both DirecTV and U-verse brands, and completely bungling any sense of logic with Warner, while graphing the compensation of Randall, Stankey, etc. in the background.

Then put that on top of scandal after scandal in cramming, customer service failures, and net neutrality sidestepping.

Combine that with the complete failure of building out the fiber network to every business and home within the footprint - what the HELL have they been doing for the past TWENTY YEARS?

Then bring up the using the H-1B visa firms to secretly sending jobs to third world countries with human rights abuses and even more corrupt governments, and how this helped destroy the middle class, further the abusive practices of the visa program, and ironically, hasn't saved the company a penny.

Show how their layoffs and outsourcing destroyed tens of thousands of jobs with benefits, contributing to making huge swaths of cities destitute, before AT&T swoops in with photo ops for big heads, a giant "AT&T Cares" banner hung in the neighborhood that it helped destroy...all while it virtue signals its own guilt away.

If only someone had the nerve to publish it and not accept the "well, we're trimming in some places, and hiring in others" LIE that the filth at the top usually tries to sell at face value.

ATT will make a statement saying they gave “employees” 70k to get off payroll to lessen the blow. Similar to when we went on strike and they made the claim of “140-150k” per year
