Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Good luck all

All- whether or not we like the company /agree with their leadership, this is impacting actual people. Wish everyone luck and have a heart to understand everyone’s situation is different and some will truly be impacted heavily during this disastrous economic stage we are in.

For those of you making fun of the 30+ years of service folks ( I’m not even in the category) ... just know they worked hard and through the politic bs and made this company what it is now... a global powerhouse..... so have some decency and stop being a keyboard bully because many of you would not have the guts to say that in their face. Finally, those same folks, your time will come too and i will only wish you luck because that’s what true humans do. Be kind. Live. Love. Laugh because I’m the end ... you’re going to be in a box six feet under and your legacy will be the memories you leave , whether good or bad!

Everyone's situation is different why they stay as long as they do. Some people love their jobs other may really need them. I worked with someone whose wife was very ill and his daughter with three children under 10 lost her husband to brain cancer. He as a good husband and Grandfather and is taking care of everyone in his family. He is one of the hardest working people I have met in my career and would do anything for anyone. He is also funny and a pleasure to work with. Stop stereotyping people of ethnicity, age, s-xual preference or otherwise it is so ignorant in this day and age.

No OP, my time will not come too. I have no intention of wasting my entire life working at this mangled train wreck. When I'm done milking this company, I'm outta' here and never looking back.

Yes, those dedicated 30+ year heroes made ATT what it is now – a piggy bank for Randy and the C suite to loot. Thank you for your service!

Agree with deadwood comment,
they all say to be high performers, all in my workcenter badly overweight, many can't even walk, in perpetual light duty.

Reality check... LOL

"33 years here and have more allegiance to this company in my thumbnail than you ever will." Lol. S—er. Randy thanks you as he counts all the money he stole out of the company. But thank you for your allegiance.

@bgf+15qtj1tm. 33 years here and have more allegiance to this company in my thumbnail than you ever will. I don't owe you squat. You were raised with your participation trophy and your parents telling you how great you are. Work for what you get you entitled brat. We owe you nothing. Raised my kids that way and they are out making a way for themselves not expecting it to be given to them. Your parents failed you.

Anyone that sits in a company for 30+ years is a dead wood mooch, period. I look around and see these boomers sitting there taking up a job that a young person starting a family needs, and it turns my stomach. Pure greed and selfishness.
