Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Wells Fargo still sending US jobs to the Philippines, as well as India

Google (Wells Fargo job opportunities in the Philippines) and you’ll find over 100 new jobs recently posted out there. Not sure why I’m ever surprised. Maybe it’s because Wells so arrogantly boasts about “their legacy of supporting those in need throughout the United States.” Meantime they are quietly sending US jobs overseas. ATTENTION WELLS FARGO EXECS: : the most meaningful way to “ pave a path to stability and financial success for the underserved” is to provide steady jobs and benefits to the people in those communities. Teach a man to fish and you”ll feed him for a lifetime. The execs and the board are so visionless and overpaid, and yet pompous and self-important at the same time. They have everyone convinced that it’s terribly difficult to run a company of this size. It’s really not. Good leadership sets the tone at the top. We need leaders who are unselfish and are dedicated to the whole. For this company to prosper, we need moral leaders who have to courage and wisdom to turn this ship around and set us on a path that other banks will be clamoring to follow.

chuck dont give 1 foul sh– about his legacy.

the score is measured by commas that tally your net worth.

nothing else.

If you got more commas than anyone else, you win.

Chukie is a corporate fixer/raider.

Once you understand that, you understand that legacy means squat.

Re: investors landing on this discussion board. The bonehead on the “I just bought the stock” post from a couple days back is a troll. However , I do believe the investors here on this post, just a general sense of legitimacy. Wells Fargo layoffs are in the news. If you google (Wells Fargo layoffs), this discussion board pops up on the first page. So it’s not a far reach to land on this discussion board after Shrewsberry’s news on Wednesday.

@qpk+15qtS4lF - you have 10 million to invest and you're haunting a website called The Layoff?

Seems unlikely.

I am pulling my large investment out of Wells Fargo too; I dont want to be affiliated with such a failing business in all aspects of both Humanity and Financial. Ever since this CEO started, all i have done is lose money from day one of his employment. Then will be affiliated with all the humanity issues happening within the bank now.

No I didn’t actually think he cares. It was a rhetorical question.

How does C Scharf want to be remembered? You think he cares? He wants to quickly drive up stock price so he and his buddies can cash out and move on. Former execs greed got us into this mess and he was brought in to do one job and that was to cut expenses. I agree we are too heavy with layers and layers of management and too many people actually doing the same thing. What’s sickening is we aren’t growing the business, yet how many of his former co workers does he bring on board and yet he is preaching about “running as lean as possible?” You really need all those people you hired to give people their pink slips???

To the investor/client below. You are smart to keep your finger on the pulse of what is happening within the company - not the public image promoted by the execs. They are all hat and no cattle. We have some good people still working at the firm, but it’s truly a losing battle. Many have quietly resigned because they saw the firm heading in a direction that dies not serve the best interests of our clients. I wish you well.

I have over $10 million of my money invested with Wells Fargo and I am pulling it. I am reading these posts by employees and I am shocked at what is going on and how Charles Scharf and the Board of Directors is treating people. I invested at Wells Fargo, because I thought that I was supporting my community in California. Instead the Board hired a slick New Yorker who doesn’t care about supporting jobs and people in my state. I am done with Wells Fargo, because they are moving jobs out of California.

This was a few moons ago, when leaders had a vision for the greater good and the long-term health of the company they were entrusted with. I worked for a company where the officers gave up their bonuses during a difficult year rather than layoff employees. Imagine the many years of trust and loyalty and dedication the employees gave back to the company. Everyone prospered in the end- the officers, the employees, the customers, the shareholders. These were the same humble leaders who promoted and bragged on their employees, never themselves. Yes, times are different now. Not in a good way. My question to Charles Scharf is: How do you want to be remembered?
