Do we know what the virtual call center job will consist of? is it a huge pay cut? and do you think its a position att will keep around for some time or something like 3 months and then get rid of it.

To the person who wrote this if you can reply back to mine, btw thanks for all the info. I got my RSC call tomorrow for nca market I know forsure my store is closing. I been doing the Volunteer Rsc call center for over 1 month. I heard about the VSC position during training and I just spoke to 1 of the 3 trainers who been approved to teach this new position. So from what I read on your message to someone else are we going to be able to stay in call center those of us who have been doing it or will we have to transition to the virtual position which what I was told about it sounds cool, after we are supposed to be done with Call center after the 27th of this month?

@1gxa- replying back to you- I am almost positive there will not be any additional buyout or extra severance, definitely not for managers. As for the RSCS, those in locations closing will get their guaranteed call center offer Monday AM with 24 hrs to decide. They can apply to any open reqs but so far nothing’s open for RSC positions, however if something opened in a store before that 24 hours ends they’d 99% be able to get one of those jobs, most likely in seniority order. I’ll know more Monday and I’ll post after the call. This chat thread seems to be almost at the bottom so it may not be here Monday but I’ll post in a new thread. We were told not to say anything but I prefer to give info if it helps.

If you were not informed about the call on Monday in Florida Then your store is safe for now and won’t be closing. I was in a level 2 (use to be level 3) store at a very popular tourist attraction location that for some reason they’ve deemed to close down. We were pretty dominant with prepaids Which is revenue for the company but for some reason we won’t be opening. I’d assume it’s a large lease for the company plus parking not sure. Hoping for the best in this situation but the reality is they are tying to lessen up the 200 billion in debt and need to cut salaries and employees and close stores to save.

: @hqa+15qsAFuQ.....Thank you so much for the information..... much appreciated!! I am curious if there is any chance that RSC’s and managers would ever be offered an extra payout like the cor techs? They were offered an additional 50K.

What is this RSC call on Monday? Our managers were on a call and were talking about hearing of some store closures in the district but not sure which ones. Our store is level 3 and very busy but we have a lot of headcount.

for stores closing, they have until July 21 to find another job and Aug 6 is last paycheck. while happy lots of us are still out there, definitely feel for them. rsc’s have options, going back to a store isn’t one. so by no means are they untouchable because the more senior ones will bark and moan at that.

East Region. And it’s not a rumor. If your managers weren’t on a call today then your area and your store is not affected. And it’s absolutely true I was on this call today. I wrote the post below with details. I even recorded it. And my RSCs have a call Monday, you don’t have to believe me. Why would I waste my time trying to help others with information if it wasn’t true? I’m not some psych0path. Put it this way- be lucky your managers had no call today. Your store is safe for now. They did say they’re reevaluating leases so I’d expect bigger numbers of stores closing down the road, but for now, there’s just a handful of us affected and yes RSCs too, although they’re guaranteed a virtual call center job because they are in a contract. Their call is Monday. Don’t believe me? you’ll see Monday. Sad but true, at least my team will have a guaranteed job, I’m happy for them.

not a rumor, there were two calls one for managers that stores are not effected and one call for managers with stores that are going to be effected. This is for Florida market. I have a close source and I've got confirmation from two people. From what I'm hearing reps will have options to either work call center (I don't know whether pay will get reduced) or choosing a severance package. Thats all i know and I guess we'll find out more about what will happen on the RSC call next week. Managers i'm hearing will be let go. S—s but what can we do. Have to be positive and keep pushing forward in life.

This seems like a rumor to me. There were no managers on the phone whatsoever at my store today and they can’t touch RSCs. Maybe ASRMs and RSMs but c‘’mon, the CWA? I’m sure they’ll have something to say about this if this is true.

@vwf- thank you for your kind words! I know the feeling of waiting and wondering so if my info was able to help anyone I’m glad. It’s a tough situation for everyone. They told us not to tell our RSCs but I did anyway because I felt they should hear facts instead of rumors, even if I don’t have many facts yet. I will post once I hear anything else.

I was on one of the calls, I’m a retail manager, first round of store closures, for RSM and ASM official lay-off notification on July 23, if we can’t find a job in the company then off payroll August 6. Another call Monday for affected RSCs. In my area, due to their contract, they’re getting offered a job doing call center from home, have 24 hours to accept or not. If not then nothing is guaranteed for them. They will be surplussed unless they find another position but seniority won’t help, the only guarantee is the call center job. No other info on RSCs till Monday. For managers more info to come on severance and we have to go to our store and help close it down, we’ll get a few articles on how to figure out severance and stuff....that’s all I know and if anyone wants to know more I’ll post Monday after that call. Best of luck to everyone, it’s a tough time to lose a job.
