Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

S.E. Wire techs

Any information on whether or not this lay-off will be like the ones in the past where they go by work location? Or will it be work group? I’m a legacy Dtv tech and I’m 1st in seniority with legacy ip techs and Dtv techs mixed. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you

This post says SE WT, but the link dropped is from Q3 of 2019 and covers Florida only. This really isn’t an accurate depiction of SE WT seniority. I’m sure this list doesn’t take into account any layoffs, retirements, resignations or new hires since that time.

Correct. Wire techs that came from something else retain their bumping rights. Look at this list. You have wire techs that have been here since the 80s.

Wire techs that used to be sts or fts can bump, they retain article 7 rights as far as the contract reads

I believe they are targeting both work groups AND locations.
