Maybe it happened and the folks laid off didn't do anything for such a long time .. that they didn't even know they are on or off a payroll.
Or, they didn't say anything cause they knew that day is gonna eventually come - that someone is gonna catch them doing nothing.

T is like any legacy corporation , lots of bloat , lots of legacy positions that are the Milton's of the company, hidden in some nook and cranny of the org chart and never noticed. Some will make it through this others won't
there are so many folks which are either incompetent or just doing busy work ... but entitled to jobs ... that should have been let ago AGES ago, it's shocking to see how they hang on through previous waves.
I'd say, come on mate .... you made this far, that's not gonna last forever.
