I got laid off from a job in 2008 right about the time the market crashed. That was a c-appy time to find a job, but I found one right before I left and started on the Monday after. Worked out well. There are jobs out there now. Even if it’s not something you 100% love, better than nothing.
If you are on this board and aren’t putting feelers out right now, you should be. Jobs are out there. Use your networks. You never know if your buddy on Facebook knows someone that’s hiring.

OP, its never a good time to layoff. what is pathetic about ATT is there does not seem to be a end goal really. every year its the same story. its like an infected line that one keeps paring the scabs instead of removing the limb.
