Craft gets extra 50K

Craft is getting a MVO with a 50k kicker. Wire techs getting a extra 5k. Management is getting spit on. No MVO and nothing extra with only 14 days to find a new job outside the company.

No, it's like they are resigning instead of being surplused, so they won't get unemployment or any other benefits a layed off person would get.

So they get 50k but forfeit pension? WTH is going on?

The reason managers get spit on is because reading a spread sheet wrong is not a valid skill. Open a book if you can read.

Where are you all getting this info from? What district/union office has put this info out? District 4 has not released any news about sipp or additional dollars to leave. Or is this all just BS.

ANY craft declared surplussed or who volunteers to relieve a surplussed employee is getting the CASH VALUE of SIPP(IF it HAD BEEN offered) + $50k... no benefits associated w/ the offer, so its go away $ if you don't have 30 or MR75

Extra 50,000 if you meet the rule of 75 I think I would jump on that

Haha! That’s because mgmt has skills and already has another job lined-up. Meanwhile the union folks are looking for another unionized trade to join, so they can keep-on being average

If you planned on retiring in the next 12 to 18 months it’s a really nice bonus to send you out with. No denying that. If you are pension eligible and under age 65 your medical is the same cost as active employees. Take the $83k over 12 months starting in 2021 and the $6900 a month will be really nice. Should net you about $5500 a month.

Management job s—ed since the day they quit paying them OT! That’s why no one took it! I understand those that may have went down that road.....but personally turned down a offer to become management and had a very nice almost 44 year career! I’m taking the offer if it comes!!

50k for benefits is 2-3 years of coverage

The 50,000 is buying your benefits,so it is a wash.
