I was told by my immediate supervisor that we are required to complete this assessment as described in the email (addressed to all employees in Illinois) received yesterday. My union steward has said today that if any of the three questions are answered yes the employee will be sent home with no pay for three days. Obviously it would be stupid to answer yes. Anybody know the facts concerning this?

For the stupid (@hig+15oYJB2V), the gist of the question is can they send me home with no pay for three days? I think not even though the steward says it is so (the union is "looking" into it.) To my mind there are other options (sick days even though that would be a chargeable absence, paid time off still in reserve, FMLA if necessary, etc.) The question is posted to see if anyone else has any more solid information as the email does not address this, it only says if you are not cleared you would be "contacted by the HR Return to Work team with next steps and time reporting," And you don't see why bargained-for workers wouldn't have any trust in management? And not much in their union leadership either. Give me a break you disingenuous mushroom.
I enjoy how the democratically aligned unions are stepping up to lying about COVID symptoms. Great job! And you wonder how management wouldn't have any trust in you?
No, No, and No
You are not a medical professional. Answering the questions incorrectly the first time caught should not be punishable. Bow your head and say I didn’t know and ask forgiveness. Play dumb, act dumb, and let them prove you had intent to be dishonest.
The sick pay policy for COVID-19 may apply.
The union should investigate and provide answers.
I saw this in mywork app and definitely would like to understand the ramifications of this and then questions being asked.
