My store manager did an observation on me twice last week and I think it is targeting just because my numbers are low. I called my union stuart and she said there is nothing she can do except tell me to do the behaviors. What is the union good for? This is clearly targeting. Other RSCs who have higher sales might get one observation a month and I get two in a week!!!

AT&T is going to lay off thousands of people because of trash- pieces of Sh–S like you, who complain to the union for being held accountable to do their jobs. AT&T lost tons of money keeping trashasses like u employed, now thousands will lose their jobs. Yet again, u cry and complain to the union for not being at 100%. u probably been 50% for a year, u POS
That’s all we’ve heard for the last 30 years. It’s always about telling us what the union did in the 50’s or the 70’s. You never speak of what is being done today because the union is not doing anything but counting dues. Quit using the past to justify your existence today. Earn it.
The same happened to me and I did All the behaviors with all my customers and I was the only one in the store that did 5he demos all the time and I would always got talked by management and my attitude was always positive. I told the union that I felt I was a target they told me the same BS. I lost my job early this year.
They want you to lie, fake the numbers, omit information, basically be dishonest to inflate numbers. Good luck, I left AT&T and never looked back. Just start looking for another job, they are definitely targeting you. I left and I lost weight, sleeping better, and I'm making more money...screw AT&T!
Focusing on you because your numbers are low isnt targeting. You are failing to meet standards and in need of more coaching.

@kby .... ok, so you’re not interested in how the Union got better wages, Health Care, working conditions you currently enjoy. You think Management is treating you unfairly today? Without the Union, YOU WOULD BE FIRED for not meeting standards or you’d be fired because you have an attitude or because your Manager didn’t like your face. That is truth. The Company would treat you poorly and you’d have no recourse. If you value the decent paycheck, I suggest you start meeting the matrix. You’re probably on Warning of Suspension or Final Warning. Either do the job or expect to be unemployed real soon.

I love the non union crowd the crows about how terrible unions. This is while they enjoy, 8 hr workday, weekend off, paid holidays, vacation, benefits, Healthcare, workman’s comp, child labor laws, overtime where applicable and etc... who do you think fought and negotiated all those benefits? The UNION, some folks want to go back to the sweatshops and being owned by the Company store.
There is good and bad in any organization, right Randall? It’s called the human race and some oversight is called for so their is some accountability.

Another case of an under performer wanting the Union to protect their poor performance. OP stated numbers are below other RSC and they don't understand why they are being observed? Personally, I would guess it is the low numbers!

Poster is correct it is the company's union. We need real unions in this country. The leadership of the current union is too cozy with management. They like their jobs controlling people on behalf of the company. It's cushy.
Working in a phone store should be about helping the customer what they need and can afford. It ain't about selling sh– just to meet the numbers. Real customer service is something the parasites at 208 S. Akard don't understand. Greed rules their lives. Greed. Why do you think Randal the Vandal spends so much time talking about social justice (talking not doing)? It is all about good will to distract from the theft and destruction going on.
Unions are worthless. Name one unionized industry, that has not been ruined? Unions are vehicles for being an average worker. There is no incentive to step out of the corner you have been painted-into. Go get a job where YOU are considered an individual, where your performance is rewarded, as opposed to the herd

Just make an effort to hit your sales goal.
As a former RSM I can tell you that observations are how we verify you are demonstrating the correct behaviors. If you are demonstrating the behaviors and making an effort to implement the coaching I would say that you have a good opportunity of avoiding any time of formal warning. Bottom line though, you are in a sales job and results matter. That being said, I would assume if you feel like you are being targeted it probably has more to do with your day to day attitude and work ethic

You said it yourself, your numbers are low. How else would you expect management to hold you accountable for your performance?
It’s not the union’s company unfortunately everyone is being targeted. There is a lay-off in the works. The union is there to fix some issues and to make the company uphold their end of the contract. To help save your job. If they are harassing you then use rh.
