Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

A message from HR

YourNext step:

Developing soft skills, and emotional intelligence.

If you’re a constantly negative person, you’ll have a very difficult time managing long-term relationships in our company. Instead of focusing on “the worst that can happen,” try to see yourself as an agent of positive change as an ambassador of our products and services.

Don’t be afraid to go against the grain of conventional norms during our transformation.
Take risks, These kinds of people ultimately leave the people they work with feeling inspired, motivated and connected.

Hehehe! We are organizing to win, I’m positive about that. Can’t wait to see my next raise, stock options and dividend.

Employees matter and we care. We were going to give Randall 265k @month but instead made it 264k so we could use the extra money to spread around to the others we are surplussing. You Matter!

I live these posts because they either show how ridiculous this corporate bs is or someone really is trying to "help" everyone on this board see how much T really cares.

Hilarious either way, thanks for the laugh.

I work.
You pay.
Ambassador is not in my job description.
Nor is psychologist.
Our products generally stink and are overpriced.
That's for you to fix, not me to alleviate.
Take your BS and shove it.
And be sure it's it the bank this Friday.

If this wasn't such a toxic work environment, employees wouldn't have a negative attitude. The fact that the majority of the workers at this company have a negative attitude indicates that this is not a healthy, well managed company.

Oh, and where is our annual employee net promoter survey? This is the second year in a row. Is the AT&T C-Suite scared to hear what its employees think about their workplace?

Perhaps HR should develop a series for the C-Suites titled "Effective Leadership".
