In CLG, I have had to take those calls. I can tell you truthfully, customers are "misinformed" largely by what I call front line reps. And then we in CLG, have to fix the misinformation, set proper expectations going forward. And they NEVER put notes on accounts as they should. That is a training issue and there's no accountability for them.
This hasn't changed in 25+ years with this company. Whenever you set sales metrics, reps will do whatever they can to hit them. The company has turned a blind eye to this for years, even protected and allowed "coaches" and "pods" to continue without accountability even when they are caught instructing reps on how to manipulate accounts. I witnessed a coach tell a leverage rep that "I understand you want to be honest, but by being honest, you will never make your money and you want to make money, right?" The leverage rep was eventually fired for not "following the script and comp any directives."
I have called EEOC on several examples of company abuse and even handed over black and white documentation but ALL of the EEOC cases were dismissed for not enough evidence of wrong doing.
