Mair Org is getting a 40% reduction. Call is going to be scheduled 6/15, massive reductions in tech's since Chow Org is getting sliced and too many jeped jobs. West Wirelines new contract gave them an easy way to slice.

I heard the same thing, but I interpreted it to mean some areas/groups up to 40%.. Not straight across the board. Some 20%, some 40% and I'm sure different percentages across. Still s—s though.
some of the stuff that gets posted on this att page is so ridiculous. Cuts will be made in many groups, but 40%? Don't trust anything you read on this entertainment-only website.
Mair org has close to 20k employees. That would be an 8,000 person hit. Hard to believe but we'll know on the 15th.
ATO mobility will be the only safe ones. Wire techs are out. Everything is going OTT. IHX was sent to steal your jobs and it worked.
Incorrect. Mair is President of ATO. There will not be 40% across the board in the entire organization. Critical programs would come to a halt.
I am in ATO Mobility (non bargained), my group has already been notified we will not be impacted.
this org is basically one of the worst when it comes to overhead. expect huge cuts.
makes sense with all the other reductions always saw people going into that org to avoid surplus but you can only run so long and your number will come up and you will be caught without a chair.
