Do we know what channels of the org will be effected by this? NB Mobility has two all hands calls over the next two weeks. A good amount of directors and mobility retail positions posted as well, I heard this is to help transition some headcount. I don’t understand why leadership doesn’t come out with information given this is our livelihood and we will only get two weeks when notified.

It said anyone who didn’t have their funnel up to date in ROME or sales force is going to be let go. You must also be at 100% or more in all metrics.

The fact that this lay-off thread for AT&T is top active on this site says we’re relying on this forum too much. Its ridiculous. Why? Lack of transparency. Which I recall many of these managers were preaching to be your “authentic self”. Where are all the authentic leaders now? Any leader who hasn’t commented to their people on the upcoming surplus is a POS and has theirs coming. Total joke how most are not acknowledging and letting the gossip continue to spread. When I leave this b–ch, I’m switching all my sh– to Verizon and selling my stock. Fake a– people. m—ers.

"ahh...keep my direct deposit going please, UNION life is good, & you ALL should Try that, Rolf"
Give me a break. You must be a real winner in life to post some scat like this. You are the reason so many people despise other Union members like myself who at least try to earn their pay. The reality is if you didn't have this gig you might have peaked in life as oil/tire changer. I bet you have never even heard of he tuition reimbursement program because that sounds to much like going back to "skool".

If he mis-spoke about Mid-July and mid-June was intended, one would hope that he’d send an email to correct himself.

Mid-July is a long time to wait to learn your fate.

Also, the message is inconsistent: repeated references to targeted and sizeable force reductions versus cuts at all levels, calling out sr. executives, management, union and contractors.

And new reason given for the size of the cuts—in addition to covid-19, reducing products and places where we do business, he stressed a couple of times that we are now in a recession.

So there is no compassion or empathy or any type of regard whatsoever for employees—hard times demand cut-throat action against all but the corrupt Leaders.

And the two weeks notice versus 60 days is yet another example of this, in addition to the massive layoffs that will be announced.

Mid July was stated but rumor is that was a mistake in speaking and mid June was meant to be said. Expect it will be by end of week. Targeted and Sizable was repeated a couple times and some basic statements on new segments that seemed to contradict themselves. New mobility jobs have been posted, assuming they will be filled by those that are impacted by cuts but that management wants to keep. Bottom line, it’s going to be ugly

It was stated on the call that additional re-org announcements will go out by the end of this week or by early next week—they are “tweaking” it right now.

During the Q&A, someone asked when will the layoffs with two weeks notice be announced, and the answer was that they are still working on it, but that the estimate is mid-July.

Don’t let the trolls get to you. New org structure to be rolled out by end of this week or early next week. Yes - talk of substantial reduction in both mgmt and non mgmt - but no date given as to when those cuts will begin.

Can we get a summary of the call. One person states middle of July for surplus the other states end of week / next. Just another example of how much people like to post c-ap just to listen to themselves.
