Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

"Save to Grow"

This is McRotten's new catchphrase he's been trumpeting. Shows his complete ignorance in the business world. Business 101 teaches you can't grow a company thru cost cutting and layoffs. In fact , just the opposite
History shows when a company starts layoffs and cost cutting measures , it almost always mean the eventual death knell for said company.

It takes strong competent leaders to motivate and inspire people to do the work....Look around at the office; Do you see a lot of work getting done or anything getting accomplished these days? All I see is a lot of churn. gossip, worry and complaining...

This was quoted nuerous times... The man Stanky hired to "right the ship" stated we can not cut our way prosperity and we had too many levels between the top and the workers. McFresh on announcing re-org created 3 new units to oversee. I do not have any confidence in this management, it appears they want to boost the stock price to pad their retirement.

@vnp It’s been done before recently, it was called the Bolshevik Revolution. The wealthy are living in a bubble if they think the masses will put up with this forever. Americans are about fairness and sharing the pie proportionally.

I have a frienD at another company who found out she was losing her job when her name wasn’t on the new org chart. The grass may seem greener...rarely is.

So what's the solution? AT&T Lives Matter! Rioting, protesting, etc..

Agreed, this current level of middle class or what ever you call the working class schmuck doesn't cut it.

Why does everyone working here, think its any different to any other big legacy corporation.. Of course the executives are going to make bank, while trimming the redudant workforce. They didn't seek to become executives to just be a middle class working schmucks, they're doing their jobs, cutting costs.. so they can reap their corporate benefits.. of course its not fair..

The illusion everyone in capitalism has is that workers somehow should be protected or somehow immune from economic shocks.. that's not how this captialism thing works guys..

Let me leave you with this quote that sums it up nicely,,,

“It isn’t the man who does the work that makes the money. It’s the man who gets other men to do it.”

But McMuffin will get a lucrative Golden Parachute when he leaves just before the company goes bankrupt. Why should he care? He gets his.
