About 1 month before our Fiber Project ended on July 26, 2019, they posted a lot of prem tech, and other tech jobs before terming us OPTs out the door. Most of us applied for these jobs, but when we reached out to the local hiring managers, they said the vacancies are not available in their yards. We all figured out that the jobs were just posted for vacancies that were already filled, or just for appearances.

In another post, they mentioned dozens of Mobility Sales Executive openings, those are posted for the same number of Sales Executives they are laying off. I once interviewed with a sales manager who said their sales director explicitly told the managers to not hire anyone from the surplus/layoff list. A woman colleague complained to HR, but as you all know, HR represents the company, not the workers...It's the Old Boys club all over, started in Texas. Totally different than the Pac Bell days. Remember when old CEO Whitacre told the west coast female managers to "wear skirts or dresses instead of pants!"

They will either be cancelled, or you will get the infamous e-mail that someone more qualified than you has been selected. I know, I got both. For the same job no less. Cancelled and then filled without being re-posted. As far as more qualified, yeah right! But I had to do the COBC and ethics training every year. Apparently that doesn't apply to L2 and above.

If they are staff/management jobs, then they’ve already been filled through the good old boy network.

Fake jobs. Hiring folks to replace the surplused at a lower pay rate. Just because there are jobs in Career Path does not mean they will be filled or won’t be canceled. All a scam, don’t drink the kool aid.

You gotta be kidding! That would not cover 1/3rd of Randall’s compensation since he makes 300 times the average employee!!
