Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Stop hoping for Wells Fargo to be better. It’s not going to happen.

Wells Fargo’s C-Suite only cares about Wells Fargo C-Suite. They don’t care if they harm their employees, their customers, their shareholders, small businesses. It’s a fact. I can’t tell if they are highly incompetent or highly intelligent, but I do know that the joke is on everyone else but them. They keep playing the same game with a different name. And they appear to be winning. At everyone else’s expense. Honest, principled managers and employees get run over. You are either going to have to get on the “I’m only in it for myself” train, or find another train.
Don’t let them take you down. Times are rough right now, but get yourself prepared to take a job at a firm that operates with integrity and shows exemplary leadership. A firm with a good reputation that you can be proud to work for. A firm that will appreciates your talent and experience and isn’t trying to send your US job overseas. You can’t change Wells Fargo. You’re going to have to change yourself. Good luck to you!

the work is from the 1800's for sure! People have obsolete skills, they act like experts here, but would probably not be qualified for jobs elsewhere and they work in the same positions for decades seems like for sure.

Maybe if they are forced to find jobs in outside companies they will find they are not qualifed

Own any shares of WFC?

Get a proposal on the table to have 1 wfc non-manager appointed to board put on the table for consideration.

They aren't gods.

But it would be an interesting play and might actually make those fuketrs blink.

As we all sit here on line and b–ch, how many of us actually use our shares to help steer company? 0?

Have you ever even voted your shares or even atteneded a shareholder meeting?

If you are wfc emp AND a shareholder, remember, your voice does matter, but unfortunately, forums like this are the only places where we tend to air our grievances.

  • which matter 0 to them.

No - you wanna get their attention, you go to share holder meetings and you begin to organize.

Work slowdowns are also effective.

They want you to train egs? tough titty. Tell them to go read a f—ing book.

Dont automate sh– - add MORE process to already inefficient b—s— they have.

Make it harder to get ANYTHING done.

There are many large public corporations, unfortunately, run by executives who have it backwards. They focus on lining their own pockets and are willing to commit fraud, stick it to their customers, stick it it to their employees, and stick it to their shareholders while the execs walk away with all the money. And then they find themselves in a position where it takes more of the same to dig themselves out of the hole they’ve put us all in. These bad players have people convinced that’s the only way to do business these days. We all become desensitized to terrible corporate behavior and think that’s the only choice we have.
However, I have friends and family members who work for companies who have leaders who are forward-thinking. These top class executives run their businesses in a way where everyone prospers. It’s pretty simple, really: Treat your customers fairly and honestly and you will have more business than you know what to do with.. Treat your employees fairly and honestly and they will be good to your customers and loyal to the company. Loyal customers and engaged employees lead to a healthy business model where your shareholders benefit.

I could not agree more with the last post. WF is not unique. All large corporations drive the stock prices at any expense. All of the people on this board that cry about Wells Fargo, good luck finding a better job in another large corporation and see how you like it. The grass is always greener...….

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but there isn't a major corporation in America that cares about anything other than shareholder value, which also happens to be the golden egg laying goose for all the execs.

I've seen the tears of too many people who get let go after believing they were valued "team members".

One woman I used to work with was RIF'd from a company she worked at for 15 years, and 5 years later she was still hurt.

You may have a great manager and coworkers, but a corporation is not your family or friend.

If you want to be part of an actual work family, you need to find a small privately owned business.

Once a company goes public, you are a tool to get a job done.

Don't worry about Wells, it's still too big to fail, worry about yourself and your family.

Stay safe.

The bring you buddies over, slash and burn, drive up stick price temporarily and then jump ship is exactly what is going on here. Fleece the customer and shareholder who will be left holding the bag!

The problems here are basically beyond repair, too many and too big with too many incapable people. It will have to shrink dramatically in order to be manageable. I’m planning my exit, I can’t take it anymore.

Slash and burn headcount while bringing how many new execs? When the business is shrinking? Well I guess they are all compensated with stock so bring over your buddies when stock is low. Short term, drive up stock price thru mass expense cuts and layoffs. Stock price goes up. Then bolt, cash out your shares and move on to the next gig and hire all of your buddies again. Rinse and repeat

Truer words never spoken.

Thank you for stating what most of us know. The stagecoach is irreparably broken.

Corrupt executives and managers rotted this company from the inside out. They are rotten to the core.

On a day where we pray for humanity in this country, we know there are irredeemable pockets of society.

We need to cut out the cancer. The execs who fake compassion as a PR move, who vow not to have layoffs when they know the depth of cuts coming the minute they are optically acceptable, and who are morally and ethically bankrupt.

No one respects these execs. NO ONE. You may be wealthy, but you are alone and despised for your actions and inactions.

You've ruined the lives for so many. And you do not care.
