Not non-sensical, as you put it. McElcresh sent email out. It will be a big impact. They even reduced the amount of time you have to try and find something else in the company to 14 days. McElfresh said because there will be very limited opportunities within the company. Its just a matter of when this will happen, there is no clear time frame yet, only speculation of June 15rh, etc.

We heard we will hear before summer which is June 20th. Then we heard we will hear in the next couple of weeks. The sooner the better as everyone is at their wits end with waiting and not knowing their fate. How do "they" expect any work to get done or does anyone even care? Unnecessary cruelty to tell people weeks in advance so they can sweat it out. Nice job. Way to go.
A lot of AT&T marriages as they don't give folks enough ample time to have a social life outside of AT&T. So glad I made a point of not accepting a date or dating anyone at work and met my spouse outside of AT&T.
