Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Hub Strategy is ridiculous and will result top talent loss

Honestly, these executives are SO OUT OF TOUCH with what is going on in the trenches. First of all, the flex seating and hub strategy has led to less collaboration! Why? Because no one can get enough seats for their team to sit together in flex seating, because we are competing for the same flex space with all of the other lines of business and their teams. As for booking a common conference room, well good luck! They have been turned into flex offices and there are definitely not enough of them. Therefore, even when we come into the office, we end up calling each other on the bridge line anyway!!! We would save a lot more money and keep the best talent if we got with the 21st century, and let people work remotely like all the FINTECHS we aspire to emulate. Get rid of the office space, And forget about hubs. Instead have managers rank their people, keep the best talent, and get rid of the dead weight. After all, you get what you pay for. Cheap talent in a cheap state is well just cheap... if you want to be an industry leader, a change agent and an innovator, then think like a Google or Apple. They pay top dollar for top talent and have zero tolerance for Mediocrity. Otherwise, Wells Fargo will slowly bleed out as it has been. Death by a thousand cuts. I think that Wall Street investors see it to, and are looking for a better turnaround story than we herded a bunch of people into offices, and cut a bunch of people to make our numbers even if they were our top talent. Oh well. Until next quarter...
