Any news on a surplus in the southeast regarding core or wire techs?

Yeah. Both Core and Wire techs will be surplussed.
Specials will probably be hiring.

This is a 3rd quarter surplus.

3rd quarter is announced on 6/15. I have heard that construction will be hit some, and cable repair (ST’s and FT’s) will be hit harder. Obviously unconfirmed, but the first levels have been aware of the final surplus numbers since June 1st, althought they probably aren’t going to discuss it with anyone affected.
The pending surplus will have employees working till June 30. Thus it is a Q3 surplus

Interesting. Link states CWA D3 advised by labor relations no surplus for Q2.
