The job market is in the c-apper right now. Many companies are afraid to increase headcount now. And unless you have all kinds of certifications, things are tough out there. Most jobs that I have seen out there, they are only looking for 1-3 years experience, so they are looking for newbies.

20% unemployment heading into a recession/depression, you're fooling yourself if you think there are a lot of jobs out there.
You might get lucky, but most won't. This is one of the most heartless things I've ever seen a big company do.
