401K Company Match Not Worth Staying

Has anyone else noticed that Wells Fargo stock price is predicted to hit $20 per share or lower?

We used to worry that it would drop below $50..then $40...then $30!

PTO benefit is no longer worth the offsets... massive decrease in company match value, laughable raises, massive layoffs, abysmal morale, etc.

There are better companies out there, with stock that's actually upward-trending, employees who are in not in constant back-stabbing survival mode, and leaders who aren't filled with corruption, callousness and greed.

And, yes, I'm choosing between 3 offers right now. Wishing everyone the best before the slashing and burning starts.

It's just sad that Wells Fargo is a stinking carcass right now.

To the post below who says the stock is going to 50 and beyond in a year or so. I started to respond in a snarky way because blind optimism aggravates me. But then I remembered we’re all on the same side, trying to survive a company that is many of us through the ringer. I want to give your thoughts and experience at the company some respect. You might work for a great boss and a different division? I, personally, trusted my previous company’s management until the likes of John Stumpf, Carrie Tolstedt, Tim Sloan, Charlie Scharf etc got involved. I use to work for a great company with outstanding leadership, so I must admit I wasn’t ready for so many highway robbers working at one company.

So ! I would like to take you up on your offer. Let’s both put it on the calendar for one year from today, June 13, 2020 and we’ll check back in a year and see where the stock is at. Are you in?

I remember when it was in the 20’s and we dreamed it would go to 50 one day.... we’ll back into the 20’s last week then a fast reversal. It’s going back to 50 and beyond. Give it a year or so. Mark my words. That said I keep no more than 5% of my 401k in the WF stock or esop.

Depending on vesting, you can't do that with your company match.

Simple. Move the WF match to another fund the minute it hits your account. Don't keep anything in WF stock

Wells has a surplus of operational employees performing manual tasks that should be automated, an asset cap and oh yeah a global pandemic is going on. If and it’s a big if they figure out how to solve those problems the company will again be the biggest retail bank in the country. No other institution has the presence wells has from coast to coast and I think it’s easy to loose sight of that sometimes. YEAH GIVE ME ALL THE DOWN VOTES

If you think WF stock price will go up any meaningful way, I've got a bridge to sell ya'...

WF is circling the drain.

Actually a lower stock price is good if you’re young and dollar cost averaging - you’re getting more shares for your money

Of course that’s assuming they go up someday.
