Wouldn’t WF have to give a WARN notice? If they have started layoffs, what groups have been affected?

I got laid off in October and again in May. I just started today a temp position so we I’ll see how long this lasts. I had a two month warning in both situations. They will probably do it in October before Xmas
I really don’t think WARN notices are going to help. The 60 day notice period starts on the same day for both WARN and your own layoff, most states don’t have real time reports.
WF always gives 60 days notice, that’s the basic requirement of the act. Trying to find the filing head of time or making it seem like someone is being sneaky because you can’t find it is silly and pointless.
It’s been telegraphed quite clearly that many jobs will be cut, everyone who works here is WARNed and should be prepared. Some people will have more time than others, but you have no but yourself to blame if you do not prepare and you should just assume you will be laid off until such time as the company concludes this exercise.
How are they letting people know who are working from home? How do they hand out packages? I know someone who was laid off via email while on disability for chemo treatment. Cold, but how else would they do it? A phone call? Call you into the office?
A WARN notice is quite easy to circumvent for any large corporation, particularly those with locations in multiple states. Charlie is an expert in this. He will build a structured process which eliminates high salaried highly skilled largely old white males, mixed in with slackers from all demographics and s-xes, geographically spread out so no one area has enough displacements to warrant a WARN notice, all while hiring cronies and those owed favors, such as Dimon’s son in law.
The beauty of this is that nobody sees it happening, it doesn’t get reported and it can be done over and over again. Calculating people like Scharf can navigate these poorly written laws without even slowing down. It sickens me to the core to see what he does but I do admire his skill at doing it.
I trust in karma, it’s not for us to judge.

Some laid off today. More tomorrow...and then it will go on until Nov. 1, 2020.
Nov. and Dec. 2020 will go dark. Then it revs up in the new year (2021).
It's all mapped out and scheduled like clockwork. My team is one of many working on calculating and preparing packages and terminations.
We were told its all lines of business. I'm in commercial banking.
