Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

When can we stop working from home

I had too many fights with my spouse since we started working from home. I really wish we could start going back to the normal time and work in the office, otherwise I might get a divorce before I get the severance package. So sad. Everything is just so sad in 2020.

Seriously, rethink your complaints, folks, you're the lucky ones.

You're literally complaining about having jobs and a family.

If spending time with your own family is that bad, then maybe a conscious uncoupling is a good idea.

And maybe a support group website would make more sense for these posts.

I get it. Between a 4 year old, 11 month old and my husband and I both working remotely, we have lost our ever living minds. I’m WF, he’s BofA.

Open concept house was great for toys and baby walkers. Not so great when we are both on conference calls, video calls and have 2 screaming kids in the background or running thru the house. Everyone’s video calls look like ours, so it’s a relief that we are not the only ones.

We can’t get a sitter due to Covid-19, no one is willing to babysit on-site during a pandemic. We can’t drop the kids off to daycare because there’s a surge in cases here in Charlotte. Can’t ask our parents because they are high risk due to under lying health issues and live out of state in states that are surging, Florida.

This has tested our marriage, friendship and parenting skills. Our nerves are shot. Our tempers are steaming.

We try to switch between calls to accommodate each other’s schedule and do snacks, entertainment and accommodate 2 kids that are miserable. We’re exhausted. They’re exhausted. We are miserable.

My husband and I had the talk about WF layoffs. I’m going to take it if it’s offered and not repost for another position. I can’t juggle 2 kids and possibly homeschool kindergarten and work. We will cut back and make ends meet. Sure it impacts us in the future with college funds and retirement goals and paying off the cars and house.

But we can’t live like this. We will end up divorced and worse off.
