Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Saul’s Weekly Message Expense Reduction

I find it fascinating that Saul mentions expenses reductions and tightening the belt. Can someone with knowledge at least let us know if Technology is going to be affected by massive layoffs? I could see PM’s and BSC roles being reduced?

I would expect EVERY group to contribute. Some areas are bloated. Too many layers of senior leaders still exist in every organization. Look at consumer. Look at Wholesale. Look at Wealth and WFA. Too many business leaders and I bet no one can tell you what half of them genuinely contribute to the company.

Nothing ever changes, I worked in Technology back in the 2008’s and early 2010’s, The amount of money they wasted with managers flying over to HK to meet us on the out of hours team. 6 senior staff members flying out on business class and staying in 5 star hotels at a cost of $250 a night.

I honestly can’t say exactly what a TRM does other than sit on calls all day and annoy me with requests for metrics and unreasonable and unrealistic deadlines for projects that have already run off the rails.

Why they get paid what they do is beyond belief. It’s a Cush job that’s heavily padded with absolutely no value to a project, a team or even the company.

I’m not going to name names but there’s one chick whose voice makes you want to vomit. Constantly with the “help me understand” questions to every statement on a call.

How about TRM's oh my they are like mushrooms, everywhere there are tons of them! And, their salaries are much more juicy than the engineering salaries. That whole job family needs to go!

Do we really have to tell some employees to remove TikTok from company mobile devices? To me, that should be an automatic negative mark on an employees record if not grounds for dismissal. I’m not commenting for or against TikTok, but about company devices only being used for company business. I thought that was a policy. Am I missing something?
