Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Why is someone wanting to leave Wells?

I usually dismiss disgruntled postings on message boards, but I talk to my peers and others regularly who are unhappy here.

I'm unhappy here.

I used to tell my directs that a even a good job comes with good times and bad, and to judge the job over the long run.

But most of the folks on my team have been miserable for the last three years.

Between the massive amounts of crime, the lack of progress working with the regulators, the complete cluelessness of management, and the never-ending threat of layoffs, this place is just plain ugly.

@ijn+15SNPcLC along with watching your managers furiously kissing b—t with their managers (to save their jobs) while ignoring all their direct reports.

No direction, except - SURPRISE, here's a new process to follow - SURPRISE, do a mid-year review - SURPRISE, you do too much RTB work and not enough CTB work, you're next for the chopping block - SURPRISE - report your work in an agile epic even though 80% of your work is still waterfall (and you have no control over which projects are agile or waterfall) - SURPRISE, oh did I forget to tell you about multiple important things?

It’s really difficult to get excited working here when you don’t know if your job may be cut tomorrow. The vast majority of ya will make it through but the uncertainty is k–ling morale and work productivity

Years of watching multiple criminal acts being uncovered and living with the threat of losing your job as rounds of layoffs happen will grind anybody down.

Life is too short to stay in an unhealthy environment. Tomorrow is not guaranteed for anyone and it is in our hands to ensure we make the most of our lives.
