I recently got hired as a contractor, and my start date was supposed to be a month ago. But it kept getting pushed back because apparently they haven't been able to get approval to send equipment out for contractors to work remotely. A month later, and still no movement. Has or is anyone else experiencing this? I'm worried that I've already effectively been laid off before even starting, especially after hearing that Google rescinded all its contract offers a few weeks ago.

My team recently hired a contractor who is working remotely.
Thanks, that's encouraging.
My friend was hired by BofA in March. His hire date kept being pushed out due to laptop availability. They finally had him install the necessary software on his personal laptop and he started in May.
