Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

This will be fun to watch

I can see it already - AT&T will inflate HBO Max numbers with special offers that hide actual skyrocketing terms in small print and once the original offer period expires, all hell will break loose.

We've seen it happen before, and we'll see it happen again. I already have popcorn ready for the latest sequel.

Dude, we’re giving it away with our packages. It’s included in different voice, fiber, and tv packages. Of course numbers will be inflated, we’re giving it away for free.

We have seen this rerun before, plenty of times. It always seems to follow exactly the same script: AT&T acquires a successful, dynamic business; gets excited about the 'next big thing' promotion; successfully alienates every one of the employees and customers of the acquired business; successfully ruins the acquired business; and finally - sells the acquired business for pennies on the dollar of the original purchase price.

Yes AT&T will inflate those number. Inflate it very nicely. And everyone is going to love those big, inflated numbers. Big!

You sound like an expert. Are you one of the executives responsible for the success of AT&T?

I think you have it backwards. As we have seen in mobility, business services, VoIP, competition pushes prices down over time. And for those worried about layoffs, that is a concern.
