Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

So this is where my $2.700 a year health care supplement is going.

Stanky definitely needs to have houses other than TX, otherwise, the three company airplanes will be kind of waste. He can get on the company plane to CA for playing golf each weekend.

When we launched U-verse many years ago, we had a giant conference call with prem techs and back office systems people to outfit Stankey's place with way more devices than the U-verse platform supported. I think it cost the company 200k to jerry rig a solution just so Stankey could have this non-standard U-verse config.

I wouldn't be shocked if he had techs dressed up as French maids to hang his TVs.

Just an observation:

1. Prem/Wire techs don’t install or hang Televisions. Not part of their contracts and never has been. If you are one of those that does it, you should stop because it’s not your job.
2. Prem/Wire techs don’t install “high-end packages”. They install “consumer grade” broadband and IPTV services.

I’m sure Stankey will have some group within AT&T out at his fortress doing entertainment work beyond what I just mentioned, but it will not be performed by Prem/Wire techs.

It's the same old moaning too. Nothing new, just same old thing. Like a broken record.

Probably will have to get Comcast business class since all he’ll be able to get is 6m IPCO. Just like 90% of the broadband available footprint we have right now. Hey Paul Singer, are you sure he’s a good idea?

He "relocated" to CA when they bought DTV and they put him in charge of the "Entertainment Group" after having made El Segundo the HQ for the "Entertainment Group".

He'll be WFH from California while keeping his permanent residence in Dallas to escape state income taxes. Meanwhile he'll put the pad in Dallas up on either VRBO or let his daughter hang there.

I hope he will at least give a good "tip" to those AT&T technicians with low salaries who install those high-end packages to the mansion...
By the way, just curious, why he needs to move to CA? Just for playing golf in Pebble Beach? I don't think the AT&T headquarter will relocate from TX to CA.

Only when they acquire that wealth on the backs of others and without true genius. The guy is a hack, is slowly but steadily ruining a 100+ year old company and laying off thousands. What wealth does he truly deserve? We'll look back years from now and see just how bad this was. How he degraded a stable brand with his incompetence.

Maybe a HQ move to Cali is next
