For those in a title for which the responsibilities could be done remotely, would you take a pay cut and if so how much, to avoid coming back in to the office?

No, should get paid more since we would not need an office.
So if you take a pay cut to full time telecommute. What happens if things change at a later date and they pull you back in......would they give you a raise to reinstate your former base salary? I some how doubt it.
No. Once you take the pay cut they will force you back into the office anyway.
I don’t think anyone can be forced back to an office at anytime soon. They don’t have a clue how to keep people safe from germs, one sneeze & it’s over.

Let me explain something to you. Having been surplused a few times, you take a pay cut just to keep a JOB. If not then you don’t have a JOB. That’s AT&T
no there are plenty of so called leaders and chosen ones that haven't step a day into the office and I am sure they never took a pay cut probably got an increase in pay for what - driving the company into the ground.
Pay cuts for telecommuting would make no sense. It will now be part of the IT culture. Big IT companies offering telecommuting will start to recruit the brightest minds since location might become somewhat irrelevant. Employee retention will now be harder for T specially for new & recent hires.
If T or any company dangles telecommute for lower pay to do the same job, take it as a sign that they have no clue how to value your work, and are cheapskates and won’t give you a penny more to in the future.
I worked remotely for years. Was told late last year I might get surplussed if I didn't move to Dallas. I didn't move to Dallas and got surplussed early this year. I guess you could say I took a pay cut. LOL!
nope. i worked worked from home for years before the collab stuff. pros & cons but not worth a pay cut.

No and ZERO. Different strokes for different folks depending on commute variables, but no question really for me. I’d happily commute.
