Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

HBOMAX FLOP

Will flop and He will blame:
1-The fragmentation on Time Warner's Flop, despite its massive investments in securing hit comedies like Friends and The Big Bang Theory.

2-Unable and unwilling to keep subscribers, with AT&T's confusing branding strategies exacerbated that confusion.

3-AT&T tough to sell these new services to current subscribers of Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, or Apple TV.

4- Taming its massive debt load
AT&T shouldered nearly $152 billion in total debt at the end 2019

5- AT&T recently suspended its buyback due to COVID-19, as the Pandemic shuts down Time Warner's movie business and postpones releases of new smartphones

6- AT&T's sold assets including its towers, data centers, and its stakes in the Game Show Network and Hulu didn't bring the expected revenue.

7- AT&T in negotiations to sell DirecTV for $32.5B, roughly half of the purchased price to be announced soon

don't forget the virus - because people are staying home why would want to buy a new streaming service. or they will say people are not buying it because the lock down is over and people are not in houses anymore. so lay off more people and marginalize more.

can't lose situation.
