Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

IHX

I’m aware IHX is not a popular channel. Before being hired I had no idea. So save me the time on that. But has anyone heard about a potential layoff with IHX?

IHX will be required to place coaxial, fiber and cat-6 in attics and crawl spaces to pass true test. If you fail, Hasta la vista, baby.

This site is going to be useless if anonymous people come on here and just post BS. Different people are saying completely different things so some of you all are just making things up. Please do not so we can get real info. Thank you!

This site has for years bashed IHX and predicted its demise and instead it brings more customers in from other carriers than any other group and has kept growing headcount and profitability consistently. Now IHX is expanding again in a few months for delivery and setup of AT&T TV for those ordering online in areas where Enjoy isn’t available. They will be adding about 25% more headcount and transferring in many people who might otherwise be laid-off from surplusses.

There was a period about 2 years ago where there were fraud issues in IHX and they changed policies on referrals and got rid of some people doing shady things and it turned around fast. The fraud rates in IHX are way better than any other consumer channel now and fewer COBC investigations. It is a great success story!

I’m a director in IHX and no doubt some areas have fraud issues but not ours. We are by the book, have very low caller rates, very few chargebacks, high audit scores, and low churn. Nationally, our fraud and churn rate is significantly lower than retail.

I suggest you wake up and smell the coffee for those that don't think fraud won't come and get you. As an ISM I didn't think fraud was a big deal here in this channel but you better believe it. There is things im not allowed to say but we are going through an investigation right now due to fraud and many other unethical matters. Stop drinking the Kool Aid, I suggest you stop doing what your ISM tells you too because more than likely it isnt ethical.

I can confirm headcounts are going up for IHX late summer. IHX reps will be bringing AT&T TV ordered online to customer houses and setting them up.

to the poster always hiding behind the mask of "IHX has low churn rates"

When you flip a customer, and the customers cancels their existing/previous account, of course the churn doesn't report in IHX churn rates (since the "new" IHX created account is still active).

However- It is still churn, and it is still fraud. You guys are a joke.

Not sure what this talk of fraud is because the IHX channel has lower churn rates than retail. There may be isolated cases here or there but it is not widespread. Headcount for experts will be growing by over 700 experts later this fall.

Begging you to stop using the term “escape goat”. I think you mean “scapegoat”. But maybe I’m wrong.

It is also the last stop for non bargained folks before getting the axe if they are not connected and can't call for a favor.

Not Looking good, I'm an ISM and we recently got a new playbook. We were doing good in sales but with so much fraud lately we are in a lot of trouble and they are finally on to the channel. I wasn't aware of so much fraud, After Covid-19 now we are looking for ways to keep this channel alive and im not suppose to say this but big changes are coming already next month. Also, some of my employees will get the boot but again its all due to fraud. I wish you all good luck for those in IHX.

One of the worst positions you can have in this company. Try to get in a store instead.

Actually it is one of the few areas of the company with growth and increasing profitability. They are looking to add headcount this summer to handle AT&T TV delivery and setup.
