In this era of extreme expense cutting do you think AT&T will be smart enough to recognize that bringing everyone into offices is an expensive mistake?

They should, because this will be a wake up call to any intelligent person. But that’s not a strong point for the C-suite boys.
Yes. They already realize the cost of maintaining large office costs. It is factored into ever outsourcing proposal. Move jobs to pegged companies implies AT&T can get rid of some buildings.
We have evidence that our leadership is/ was not smart enough to figure that out, as recently as last year. To Corporate Real Estate’s credit, they completely understand this. One of their main imperatives over the last bunch of years was to consolidate and close locations, sell them off and/or terminate leases. Then you had the largest organization (ATO) in the company starting to work 180 degree in opposition to that Initiative last year, trying to force thousands into office space that had already been downsized or even was in the process of being exited and or sold off...with seemingly no communication between the leadership of these organizations. You literally cannot make this stuff up,
yes, they will realize that cost can be handled by the company that takes all the work from those of you that feel working from home is some kind of a right.
