Maybe the USA states will stop the stay at home order soon. May 1, 2020 is not the official END to the spread of the corona virus in the USA. In fact, from the news articles I have read the corona virus is just beginning to spread across the entire 50 states population. Deaths from Corona virus in the USA are now increasing. Don't let Wells Fargo stop the remote work arrangements until we see a real light at the end of the tunnel for corona virus. Having the majority of the companies employees infected would be a huge blow to Wells Fargo, the customers and the share holders.

Having been in work environment where I had my own real office, a room with a door and a window versus a semi private cube versus a situation sitting extremely close to another co-worker I would say the latter situation (extremely close to another co-worker) reduced my productivity by at least 50% or more.
There is nothing more distracting while trying to work than having to sit right next to a co-worker, especially one who comes into work sick. Having to use the same phone as the sick co-worker. Or sitting right next to a co-worker who is constantly talking on the phone. It is SO difficult to concentrate in an environment like that.
At Bank of America, as a contractor, they made 14 of us split a one person cube (7 cubes with 14 people) with another contract co-worker. Sitting directly side by side. The sharing desk setup was rather painful. How the keyboard and computer were placed.
Then they abruptly ended everyone's contract 2 weeks before Christmas when it was supposed to go until at least March of the next year. Physical and mental suffering, while supposed to be productively working.

There's no such thing as a Savings and Loan bankruptcy, there's no provision for it in the bankruptcy code. Most of what a bank holds is debt owed to depositors, meaning everyone with a bank account, including businesses, which is why they get bailed out and absorbed into larger banks. Since the Fed decided its mandate was to keep the money system solvent in 2008, they had no problem providing $20 Trillion in reserves to the world. Wells Fargo will never go "bankrupt", and the big banks in all the hard currency countries are now "too big to fail" in the post-2008 world. Now can they be forced to merged and have all their people laid off with branches and layoffs happening en masse? Absolutely.
Wells Fargo just reconfigured so many of their corporate offices. Ripped out cubicles and replaced them with open office configurations where people sit elbow to elbow. All in the name of “communication”.
Of course that’s nonsense. The purpose was to save money. Now .... they’re going to HAVE to let people work remotely because the offices are just not safe.
