Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Avoid Employee Relations..

Just a friendly reminder that going to ER about your boss is a useless exercise even if you have documentation. Unless you have evidence that your boss committed fraud or violated a policy, you will be met with nothing of value.

That is exactly right. The “raise your hand” and “zero retaliation policy” is bs, and is only stated to look in compliance with our regulators. If you do “raise your hand “ to ER they want to know what you have so they can coach those involved how to cover it up, and you’re not allowed to ask any questions to the investigator because it’s a “confidential investigation”. Do not share what you have with them, and go directly to an attorney or state/federal agency or the media.

Even if you have proof your boss or the company committed fraud, never go to HR. They say raise your hand because they want to know what you found. But if you have found fraud or unethical behaviors, go to your attorney or the media. It’s the only way you will have any protection and stop the bad behaviors.

the accounts scandal and the complaints from employees are the reason there is an OCC MRA for Wells Fargo HR business practices.

Imagine, you report actual fraud, and end up getting fired, harassed, and retaliated against.

So much for raising your hand.

HR (ER) is more responsible for WF’s downfall than anyone. They are the most corrupt group in this institution. I wonder how many of the over 5k employees that were fired during the fake accounts scandal were also employees that had called the ethics line or filed a case with ER at some point. Probably most all.

Always remember: HR is not there for you. They are there to protect the company FROM you. Act accordingly.

That goes double at WF.

Even when you do have evidence that your boss committed fraud and violated policy, employee relations will cover up for the boss, and move to get you out the door. Do not bother going to employee relations at all.
