Verizon is doing their part to help keep their employees and customers safe by stopping new installs and limiting techs in home visits. They need to be applauded for this, no other telcos have taken this action. Thanks again for keeping me and my family safe!

Look it up.
Were they all Verizon employees?
22 million people filed for unemployment in the past month.
Battle pay? More like bit©h pay. US - Unions $uck
US ! Union Strong !
No layoffs for union employees. They are to valuable to the network. Verizon knows their worth.
The employees are getting battle pay, they deserve it. Union employees were there for 9/11 and the world trade center bombing and many other disasters. Now they are there for the pandemic. Great union job.
This overall thread is a microcosm of what’s wrong with America. id–ts over talking id–ts. Wake up!!
The
Union
Really
Does
Stink
The employees are the hero's . They keep the network working. They interact with the customers.
Thank you all !!!!
I contacted my steward 3 weeks ago and nothing happened. I am so glad I pay dues.
There is an anti union virus on this site. Like covid -19 you have to live with it for awhile. It started with bat droppings.
I suspect the OP had a hidden agenda in that silly post, that of provocateur, but the rank and file didn’t fall for it.
Nice try troll.
Yuh I know, trying to avoid censorship
Yikes, I work on salary so my day doesn't start and end on a fixed schedule. It is how things work in the college educated, highly compensated white collar world. No need to punch in and out like a slave while I work from home in my sweats.
Now get back out there minion and don't forget to cough in your elbow while you string those wires.
My bonus better be 100% or better this quarter, no excuses no slacking.
Yikes. Apparently no work to be done in that you post here all day during business hours.
You go RIF girl!
No the plaque is for long distance spitting.
We just get $ and street cred for disability
Why stop with naps? Go out on disability and then be considered a top performer in your backwords world. Doesn't the CWA hand out a plaque for that?
For the record, I was about to take my daily (paid) afternoon nap
I will double it today to make up for your rude insinuation, and Saturday, I’ll drive around Heroically avoiding any work whatsoever to compensate for your disgusting attitude.
Frontline heroes... that is the funniest damned thing I’ve heard in years.
Ain’t no heroes, just survivors
You go girl!
You guys are experts at yawning. Did you just wake up from your afternoon nap?
- yawn....if you don’t like a company with a union, quit, it’s a free country....
There will never be a strike again the union is not as strong as they use too be..you have locals making deals with management..most members have no faith In the union anymore...
they should have stopped tech installs and limiting in home visits like 3+ weeks ago when they started having everyone work from home, yeah thanks verizon!
No tech has ever written “thank you Verizon”
This was some manager’s happy pills kicking in.
Yes they stopped installs. Yesterday. Which is a month too late right?
At least they close entire garages if one person turns positive. That’s a lot of paid weeks off.
Can’t wait for the next strike.
No human lower than a scab. Can’t debate that one, Pearl.
I remember the day that I was conscripted by Verizon. If I only had a choice...
picket lines in the 80’s were worse. modern picket lines are love fests in comparison.
Not when they are in a cramped apartment home with a spouse and small children present while a complete stranger is inside doing the work. And trust me I am no fool - out of work due to shutdown - not working from home because his business or company was paying for it..
There are plenty of covidiots who are inviting techs into their house because they got a postcard from the cable company for a "deal" and having them rewire and install equipment, go from room to room inside their homes. Probably the same people who want their food delivery left on the porch but will have Directv installed the next day
you do realize the reason why customers do that is to have this 2nd internet connection billed through their businesses/places of employment as they are working from home. has nothing really to do with the supposed thrill of having a another internet connection
It's about time.. We have had some selfish (and id–tic) customers order a "second" internet connection during this time to "try it out" because they are home and have nothing else better to do (and its free). Putting techs and themselves (and their families) at risk. thank goodness this will put a stop to nonsense like this.
FiOS in a box. That's a laugh riot!
Have no fear, “FiOS in a Box” is here!
No technicians needed.
Sure, that will work.
Comcast started it 2 weeks ago. Maybe not a "telco" by your definition, but acted a lot faster. The original post definitely written by an a– kisser or management
THAT
Was written by a manager
They protect us from the customer. Not from ourselves!!!
