Since March 16 AT&T has paid the wages for employees in high risk categories of contracting Coronavirus and becoming seriously ill. The maximum amount is 160 hours. This is about to expire before the peak of this contagion. This is time the high risk employees are in the most danger. Any chance the company will extend this benefit ?

There are different kinds of masks.
Face coverings, like the homemade variety and actual surgical-style masks are for keeping OTHER people from getting sick from you. Surgical masks are in short supply, but possible to obtain.
Respirators, like the N-95 masks you hear about in the news, can protect you, if well-fitted and worn correctly, but good luck finding any of those at any price.
AT&T's mask policy, at its very best, would protect customers, but would not protect AT&T employees. And even that is unlikely to be implemented as widely as is necessary, because then AT&T would have to find and pay for enough surgical masks, which it's going to find cheaper to declare unnecessary.
No. It will not. CDC issued guidelines tonight for essential employees that states if you do not exhibit symptoms you can return to work wearing a mask and gloves and follow cleaning protocol and you will be fine.
It appears to me that if you wish to stay out longer you must supply a doctor's name and phone number to prove that they support the employee staying out. It seems the good will and virtue signaling by ATT has come to an end. Management is no longer very supportive of those between the ages of 60 to 64 as they were 4 weeks ago. As President Trump would say, very sad !
This refers to workers that cannot do the job at home such as installers , repairmen , splicers, lineman etc

Nope. For retail you either have to work from home as a call center rep or go into the store.
Getting paid to stay home and isolate is very noble of the company. Those at high risk have a decision to make. Good luck. The experts say the worst is yet to come.
