Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

T takes $5.5 Billion in Loans to increase liquidity

Ratty takes on more debt. So much for Ratty's strategy to reduce debt. I'm guessing Ratty needs cash to pay the dividend and of course to enrich himself since he is the largest individual shareholder.

Result: No doubt the bloodbath whackings will be the worse ever once the heat is off. After all, the only way to pay off the new debt will be to layoff US workers, or rebadge a bunch more, and hire more from Mumbai U.

T-Mobile only has better service where it is offered. Where it is not, it rides AT&T's facilities or, more often, does without.

Good luck getting T-Mobile coverage in semi-rural areas where it's easy to get AT&T or Verizon coverage.

Funny I haven’t seen this mentioned yet, but could AT&T have taken the loan to snatch up more companies that are struggling from the pandemic?

"People are standing in line to hand AT&T cash every month. Money's cheap, just look around lots of big corps will be jumping into the market for some spare cash."

Most of the time that is not by choice which speaks volumes. Me I have choice and will never hand att another one of my dollars ever again.

att wireless service sux so not sure why people would stand in line waiting to give them money which I doubt the exact truth to that story.

t-mobile wireless is leaving att in the dust. looks like att is third so hope you enjoy those lines while they last

Hope all the useless family and friends enjoy the taxpayers dollars so randy can squander it away. Anybody that thinks this good just because he is paying dividends, benefits, and salary needs their delusional head examine is prime example of what is wrong with country.

What did AT&T do with 2019’s $29 billion of free cash revenue after operating expenses were paid?

Just sitting on it?

As expected, Ratty just announced he is paying out the Dividend this quarter.

Ratty is not going to give up a $1m check for his dividend!

Doesn't make sense... in other words, clueless about running a company. Just collect salary and be ungrateful. For the rest of us, this is a good thing.
