I really, really do not want it to be a failure...
However, we gotta be realistic here.... And the reality is AT&T has a poor track record of delivering new product, especially in new business lines.
Then there is the competition.
Disney, Apple, Amazon, Hulu, Netflix, and others.
It seems unlikely it will be a massive success.
I want it to be successful but most people I talk with do not even know what it is.
I believe in Brandy and Randy. It's going to be a tremendous success. So successful that AT&T won't lay off for 5 years.
randy thinks people want something they get somewhere else only from att because of the BRAND. both randy and stank are delusional.
This was looking like a horribly executed concept BEFORE economics changed pretty dramatically over the last month. Every move they make is day late, dollar short. As was the most recent move of Stank out of the entertainment biz. Too late, he done screwed everything up already. I actually feel bad for the Hulu guy trying to come in and deal with the wreckage.
I really don’t think it’s going to take off with multiple boxes and the slow down in the economy. With the advent of smart TVs why is a box needed? This will cost the average consumer hundreds of dollars per month, and given the current uncertainty I don’t think people will buy it.
AT&T is notaries for giving consumers the same thing just gift wrapped in different paper. No reason we should be selling the same thing just in a different way: uVerse, DirecTV, AT&T TV Now, AT&T TV, AT&T Watch...it’s pretty much all the same and now HBO Max!! It’s really a swindle on shareholders to see if we can increase the value of the stock. That’s how these execs get paid. The lower level Execs work here 5 years, burn through money and fire people to make themselves look good then leave.

AT&T has too many offers in the marketplace. Simplify them for the sheeple who love to watch the boob tube or it will crater. Maybe HBO Max should create a new show - something like GOK (Game of Kardashians). Something the cultured Mericans can really relate to.
