Outsourced call centers

India is the second-largest market for flexible work space in the Asia-Pacific region after China with over 1,000 co-working spaces. How do you think this will affect our outsourced call centers in India, Philippines etc. ? Do you think we will start bringing jobs back home ? That whole idea of collaboration seems dead to me.

Joe from USA, can I get you phone number in case we drop your call... in other words, I'm gonna hang up on you if I get a difficult question.

While we don’t have the fastest internet speeds, availability and bandwidth are decent for cities and urb’s. These offshore outfits work in centralized hubs, the infrastructure isn’t there to support every John and Jane from work from home. Call centers won’t be coming back, unless there is upraising in consumer negative sentiment against patronizing businesses where they outsourced phone support.

Most Indians do not have the option to work from home as agents in states. They are forced to work in sweatshop type call centers spreading germs and covids. maybe U.S. companies will bring back call center jobs here and allow work from home agents. I think this is possible. I had issues with my internet and called the 800 number. The agent was working from home. I don't understand why this cannot be the norm after this pandemic. or maybe it will be the norm ???

companies live with some level of customer dissatisfaction when is comes to customer service being outsourced. That is just business, not about bringing or creating US job. All about the bottom line and shareholder commitments.

5 to 10 minute hold times is what is gone, and that is gone. Hopefully our competitors s— just a little less than us.

Think of it this way. Do you think T wants to spend full time wages, health coverage, computers and realty space to have a unionized worker or pay a cheaper rate to have the services outsourced? In the end it all comes to money. What’s gone is gone and isn’t coming back.
