Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

AT&T and all good things in life are destroyed by greed

AT&T is just one of many companies destroyed by greed and venal executives.

The NYTIMES tells us how the profit fetish is why we don't have enough ventilators.

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/29/business/coronavirus-us-ventilator-shortage.html

Article goes on to say: "The stalled efforts to create a new class of cheap, easy-to-use ventilators highlight the perils of outsourcing projects with critical public-health implications to private companies; their focus on maximizing profits is not always consistent with the government’s goal of preparing for a future crisis.

While I agree that Ratty and Stinky mismanaged T and are on their way to k–ling it, this is FAKE News and does not tell the entire story. Especially the parts that don't fit their narrative.. There is plenty of blame to go round. Politicians at the federal, state and local level, hospital managers that consolidated and reduced beds, and yes the business round table, which Ratty was the head of for many years, sent most of the US manufacturing over to China and brought in millions of H1B into the US. And let us not forget the regulations put in at all levels that screw things up. Remember, if you ever hear the phrase, "Hello, I am from the Gooberment and I am here to help." run away!!!
