Thank goodness for the senator from Kentucky who is blocking this corporate well fare bill. Hey but it gives 1200 bucks to every citizens. That will solve everything.

We don't need any more corporate well fare why can't they just vote on one thing and that is aid to the american people. Why do they have to fit other items not related to the virus. They should all be ashamed and in my book the senator from Kentucky is a hero.

Actually, I never thought that stock buybacks made sense so long as AT&T was over leveraged. But there are things to invest in, 800mhz wireless 5G in rural areas where AT&T has a 20 century copper network. I think this company either makes it, or fails depending on whether they can get rid of the rural copper plant. Look at the shape Frontier is in, because they didn't have a product to replace the copper plant with.

the bill that has passed gives more money to the wealthy so they can go out and buy more distressed assets and consolidate even more wealth. what a fricken joke.

guess he had to make a statement to get the money. the bill that passed gives a direct money feed to corporations so the ceos should be dancing in the aisle and as usual the workers get screwed.
looks like this is 2009 on steroids. we are being robbed in front of the whole world and the wonderful representatives are laughing to the bank. I hope all the lobbyists are happy and enjoy all the money they will get from this bill.

Good job Randy. Watching out for the company. Watching out for the workers.

They need to adjust the workforce as needed. It's a business which means workers make the company money. And shareholders benefit. That's reality.

First they need to stop paying the dividend and really stop worrying about the stock price. They need to figure out how to keep jobs - the quickest way is to get rid of all the India workers. Half of them do a terrible job already and their whole country is on lock down anyways - not much they can do.

Paying those ungrateful, complaining workers.

Sure, Ratty needs a huge bail out so that he can pay the dividend or EVERYONE would sell T stock and it would become a penny stock. Plus whatever is left over he will use to enrich his cronies even though he is not supposed to. Ratty is the king of creative accounting and he will find a way. He will also accelerate rebadging since that is not a prohibited layoff - Accenture, Tech Machindra, or IBM will do the actual layoffs.
