It blows my mind....a lot of the people on here complaining need to keep something in mind. The reason retail stores are dying is not because of lack of customers, it’s because of s$?t for brain reps that are inside the stores! Not all, but most. It has LITERALLY taken a global pandemic for a lot of the reps to hit their base commission! Let that sink in, in a industry/role that is meant for SELLING and structured to make more money if you sell more...the majority of reps are not even generating a pay check! Reps were doing the bloody rain dance it anticipation that the Coronavirus got so bad that the stores closed down. Yes the retail reps are the frontline troops, but the majority of what’s out there now care more about looking at TikTok or Snapchat while they are with customers instead of trying to generate additional sales that in turn make them more money. At the end of the day though you goons have little to worry about, most of your managers won’t bother to hold you accountable and let you get away with murder. So keep on telling the world how bad you have it and maybe the return of the bubonic plague will get you to windfall.

First of all you could take all the sales out if our store and it still would be busy...why, because people are lazy and entitled 80 percent of what come ain our doors are brown boxes and service work, can remember passwords for iCloud or face book, and just as many are 20 and 30 something's as seniors, most will flat out tell you they never opened the box because "it's just easier for the rep to do it"... We have people buy online and then show up and wait in line for half an hour for us to watch them sign into iCloud because they aren't comfortable doing it themselves.....then sit in the store for 25 minutes while their shyt downloads.....there will always be a need for retail, maybe not as many as we have now, but we will always have stores.

Wow really wow! Let’s take a step back here... I’m a sales rep and I work with a lot of good reps. Yeah there have been times when the store manager pushed us into selling something I thought the customer didn’t need but times have changed and I feel like I can actually find solutions and my peers. People should be ashamed saying the things they say. We all need to work together to get out of all this and instead there is hate... I don’t care who you are, I wish the best for you and your safety. Verizon is going to probably let a lot of us go and I knew that, everyone does. If we can find a way to get out of this without a bunch of loved ones dying, I’m in.

Most of you guys are missing the point. You cry for retail to close down during the pandemic. This is a fair request for safety. However, some of you guys are getting greedy and demanding for them to be closed down for a month plus. Think about this ..you entitled bunch.. some of your stores won’t reopen. You have demonstrated how quickly digital sales can replace you. Most of you will participate in a massive layoff. This is a for profit company..duh

Imagine being a gm with no real leadership ability but getting the job because you're the best sales person and some dm walked you through the BAR questions and then finding out you can't make your reps cattle drive numbers but because you don't have any leadership skills you start blaming them and not understanding them so you can work with them and get the results you want. I mean, imagine that. Sounds awful. Sounds theyre in the wrong position. Which is something probably said about the reps in whatever store were talking about. Also, own your sh–.

Trying to get additional sales? You mean slamming? Number one, anyone can be a retail clerk, no real skills required. Number two, retail is dead, Verizon retail is really dead because why? Years and years of price gouging and slamming. Thats why.

No one wants to go into a cell phone shop anymore. When you buy stuff online, you don't have to drive there, you don't have to wait and the website doesn't try and slam you.

What are the choices now? Lets see Samsung or Apple? All the phones do the same thing and use the same chargers. Seriously what are stores for anymore?

My phone breaks, I order a new one online, it comes in the mail and I swap SIM cards end of story. Once the old ignorant boomer generation dies off, who is going to go to a store? No one. Pure waste of time.
