Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

where are the Rich customers?

Reality sets in for WarnerMedia iNiw offering the feature at $11.99 a month instead of $14.99. The offer is for folks who are willing to sign up for HBO Now and then get bumped into HBO Max, which has much more content, when it starts on May 27.

AT&T is looking for ways to woo consumers who are increasingly accessing content on various devices and over the Internet. The company’s launch of HBO Max later this month is a key milestone since the massive acquisition of Time Warner in 2018 – and is being watched to see how it will perform, especially amid the changes brought on by the pandemic.

This offer is also on hbo max web site. Fine point * details below. They apparently only want new customers so loyalty is not rewarded. And given the offer is still up, I guess they haven't reached their limit which probably isn't surprising. Only thing that is surprising is that they are allowing you to cancel but will still hit you with the price increase after a year.

*This offer is for new subscribers and returning eligible HBO NOW subscribers. Between April 30 at 9:00 pm ET and May 27 at 2:59 am ET, a limited number of subscriptions to this HBO NOW/HBO Max promotional offer are available at a discounted price of $11.99/mo. Participation requires the provision of a valid payment method. After the 12-month discounted subscription period, HBO Max will charge you $14.99 each month plus tax, if applicable, on a recurring basis unless you cancel before the renewal. To change or cancel your subscription, see Billing Information in your profile settings. HBO Max supported devices may differ from HBO Now. Check the offer FAQs for additional information. NO FREE TRIALS WILL BE AVAILABLE DURING THIS OFFER PERIOD.

It's going to be a tremendous success. Just an incredible offering. It will be so successful, AT&T will have hire like never before to get it out to everyone. And then people will be getting 2 or 3. Just incredible offering.

AT&T routinely enrages customers, We are literally the poster-child for underinvestment and neglect, an leader in outages and poor quality of service, and the inventor of the industry's most outrageous, borderline illegal and absurd billing practices.
