Question, did any of you have to file for unemployment during this pandemic?? When all of this started in March, the company didn’t give clear concise information about RSCs getting paid. My store closed and they told us that we wouldn’t get paid if we didn’t go work at another location. That in itself is weird because they weren’t following CDC’s guidelines. Several reps in our area filed for unemployment because they were told they wouldn’t get paid if they didn’t show up to work at another location even though their place of employment was closed. The stimulus bill covers people whose job location is closed and also people who work on commission and won’t be getting their regular pay. Did any other RSC’s experience this?!!!! I feel like AT&T wasn’t transparent in this whole process. Finally this week, they told us that we will be getting paid. They are being super tricky.

Thank you for clarifying that. I believe that the management in this area wasn’t transparent at all. They told reps they had to chose a location to work at and if they didn’t go to another location while their store was closed, then they wouldn’t get paid. Clear deception and that’s why some filed for unemployment for a short period. Sad that you have people in management like this
I’m an RSC. We stayed open and had reps from other stores sent to us. They were told they would still get paid normal hourly plus commission if they decided not to work. They wouldn’t get the 20% incentive or the other incentive we also had however. The managers I believe just had to fill in time sheets with a specific code. Sounds like y’all have the average AT&T management that didn’t take care if it’s people.
U work @cesspool AT&T.com
My friend had to file for unemployment for two weeks because he wasn’t sure if he would get paid or not. AT&T wasn’t transparent at all. They initially said RSCs wouldn’t get paid if they didn’t show up to a location regardless if their location was closed or not. Either way, if your location is still closed, you won’t be commission so you partially qualify for unemployment. You can make a partial claim.
Att is never transparent. Don’t expect them ever to be transparent.
