Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

How many USA Wells Fargo jobs have been sent to India?

They have built new buildings in Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai, including others. Massive new buildings, housing 10's of thousands of back office workers. And for what? To take American jobs. Why isn't this in the spotlight? Supposedly it was to "cut costs" but I think they have even hosed that up. With all the overhead and mismanagement - this bank is likely the ONLY bank that spends MORE to have staff in India....go figure......

Yes, EGS uses vdi/citrix setups because of contractual obligations (software cannot be installed outside of us/uk), or data issues where data must be stored in us.

There is also a security aspect there. If a machine is lost or stolen, you are not losing any data stored on the machine since it all stored within the session or on virtual desktops. In the future you will see less laptops being issued in lieu of these sessions, even for us based employees.

This has been going on to mostly silence in American media for nearly 20 years. But we know old money owns the media despite the lies the elite like to tell. It just took longer for it to come to WF. I used to be proud to tell my friends at Chase that cr@p doesn't happen there, now Chase people that were basically fired for incompetence brought it here.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the India developers are actually using citrix virtual machines because the the data needs to be located in the US from some reason???

"Expect off shoring and reduction in work force big time in the next year."

Yup... people here are have been riding the car down easy street for a very long time. This is exactly what Charlie was brought here. COVID merely put a delay in the plans.

If people do not realize there will be layoffs and cuts they are really delusional. I suspect Q1 or Q2 2021. I would say Oct-Dec timeframe, but COVID is putting a damper in the plans.

Corporate tax rate was cut from what 36 to 25 percent? So we offshore more jobs? And have you seen the stock price? Expect off shoring and reduction in work force big time in the next year.

In India, its easy to fake credentials. So many coworkers in India are so bad, it takes 3 or more Indian staff to get done what one American staff does. This is because many of them have fake or embellished credentials - and its hard to fire them once they are hired. And, guess what, the management of Indian workers in India is - you guessed, incredibly top heavy with executives. Wells Fargo has completely messed up with its Indian initiatives, its actually costing the bank more than it would to have that work done right here in the good ole USA. Fact.
