Dividends comes from free cash flow, not debt. Layoffs are because too many workers, not debt.
Don't hate Randall because he makes more money than you. You should at least look at the revenue and profits too.
Who praised Randall must get a good dividend from AT&T. Doesn't he need to take any responsibility for losing billions to T-Mobil when failed to make the merge deal? He borrowed debt to pay the dividend in order to please investors while laid-off the employee and cut benefits and pension to cover the T-Mobil deal. Randy only created high pay jobs for a few top-management (include himself), he did not create more jobs in the US (when you see the total number of employees, please deduct the original number from Direct-TV and Time-Warner). Randy is never a good CEO, he just a gambler (not a good one, and did not use any of his money) in stock and acquisitions with employee's benefit and jobs, and with the government tax cut. See how many assets (lands, buildings, towers, jobs outsourcing, etc) he sold out during his tenure. Anyway, he was another shameless CEO.
@1wm, most of AT&t's Indian workers do not view The Rat as a hero. They do not like working for this company and realize fully what a complete disaster this place is.
Crime pays!, LOL
Randy has created lots of high paying USA jobs. And taking care of investors too. Randy has just been incredible.
This FK Randall is a criminal, has no shames. What has he done for AT&T except of giving its loaded debts?
I am sure India and Israel vie randy as a hero.
