Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Expect a lot of the same

So, Stankey is replacing Randy who was ousted for being a lousy CEO and in his first public appearance since being named CEO he says "don't worry, I'll continue my predecessor's vision." True genius we have here.

His predecessor is the Chair of the Board. Really, what else can he say? Think about it.

Big Ed sees a CEO in Randee, Randee sees one in the big little rascal. The Board of Pals agrees, and everyone takes a piece of the pie. The pie gets smaller

Layoffs are not good but sometimes the company needs to adjust the workforce based on amount of work available. That's just business.

Randall was handed everything by Ed, Randall also had control of a BOD that is ineffective and only rubber stamped his failed ventures!! When his ventures failed he turned to layoffs to make up the shortfalls by getting rid of employees!!

Winless football team that pays workers very well. Lots of workers. Pays investors. Keep up the good work.

Who would want to come in here and become CEO who is quality? It's like coaching a football team that has been winless for several years with no high draft picks for the foreseeable future. If they could find a quality candidate, paying off Stank now for 50 million so he will go away could be the best investment in years made here.

They are in a club where they can do no wrong. Pretty disgusting. Doesn’t take a lot of brains to leave a company in debt. But when you are connected it does not matter.

Randy was tremendous, creating high paying jobs and taking care of investors. Big shoes to fill for Stankey. Best of luck.

All of those top 5 in the corp have lucrative employment packages, with all the things you would expect, long term incentive, pension, stock awards, payout guarantee if fired, and lasting benefits. This is common in all corporations. Stanky could walk with close to 50M today. No need to whine.

Yeah it’s been reported he was ousted after the quarter results and Elliot only agreed to Stinky because the replacements they were looking at were even worse, if you can believe that, so they agreed to Stinky but with the huge caveat that they get to neuter him by not allowing him to also be cfo. He’s pretty much set up to fail and look he’s already getting started by doing absolutely nothing different. No more Randall bail out for him, no more blaming it on others it’s all in him now.

Yep, I heard the golden parachute that has been packed for Stankey has a lot of holes in it. No Cush landing for him.

He was tossed out. Elliott said from the beginning they did not like either him or Stankey. Today we are left with Stankey because as Elliott said - in the midst of the pandemic they were uncomfortable with making a change and admitted they were not able to find someone who was familiar with all parts of this complex mess of a company we have. They simply are running with what they have, and their only vote of confidence for stankey was (Elliott did say this) they knew he would not be buying anymore companies. My guess is that he has a short leash. Hopefully with this weak vote of confidence they also gave him a limited compensation package so we he is let go he does not steal anything from this place

Ratty was not ousted. If I could collect $250k/month, plus $1M in Dividends quarterly, plus all the massive lump sum plus keep all my corporate perks - I would be STUPID not to leave. Ratty ran all the way to the bank.

Now it is Stinky's turn to cash in the mega bucks.
