Who will miss work from home?

I know we are getting closer and closer to returning to the office and let me tell you - I'm not looking forward to it one bit. Just the commute time alone is enough to have me dreading the move back. I'd be willing to take a pay cut if it meant I could continue working from home - it'd be worth it.

"Cut back on leased office space instead of people?"+

This would be a great PR move to follow up on all the "we care" commercials they've been running. Doubt they will be smart enough to take advantage of it.

If Americans are smart, they will push for Made in America ideals, and US customer support even if it costs more. I hate unions because they don't actually stand for what they claim. Only the consumer can make the "transformation" happen.

Cleaning costs money. Sanitizing costs money.

Cut back on leased office space instead of people?

Perhaps they could make a clean break from the "collaboration only possible in person" mindset? I don't expect JM to be be as insulted as JD was by an empty auditorium.

I expect a reinvigorated push/pull on VO once they try to fill the towers with staff looking for a spot to hotel it for the day. I also expect that without a vaccine, that won't happen for many months. The longer workers stay entrenched at home, the more resistance to returning to full time office.

Just maybe, push executive salaries back under 100 times what the lowliest employees make? (I know it's the current industry and corporate standard, at least until the peasants riot. It's happened before, it will happen again. )

I'm going to miss running to Costco and mowing the lawn, on the company's dime. Corona-what?

I don't think my role will be moving back into the office. It's a remote team, none of us work in the same office anyway, and we did not miss a beat working from home.

I think it will be quite some time before anyone returns to an office, just my opinion. People don't even feel safe in stores these days.

I’m wondering how they can expect us to return offices that they don’t even clean let alone sanitize. Emptying the trash once a week and wiping down the cubicles once a year is not cleaning and it’s not safe.
